I'm sorry he lost his job overseas but...

"Its not easy to be retrained at 54"

What and its easy to be trained at 23?
What about the person who needs that job in India?
The only problem with outsourcing jobs is that we do not have a strong social safety net to retrain and upgrade skills of workers while they are waiting to find a new job.
